Frequently Asked Questions

Do you charge a fee for your travel planning services?

No. Travelers never pay a fee for working with us. All travel advisor services – research, planning, booking, and support – are paid for by the travel vendors (such as hotels, cruise lines, and tour operators). That means you get expert guidance at no extra cost.

What if I want a refund?
There are absolutely no exceptions to Amor & Away Travel Co. cancellation policies. Please see T&C's.

Do I need travel insurance?
While travel insurance is not required, we highly recommend all travelers purchase Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) travel insurance that includes medical coverage. Any questions regarding what your travel insurance does or does not cover must be directed to your insurance provider. It is the traveler’s responsibility to review their policy and understand their coverage. Amor & Away Travel Co. is not affiliated with any travel insurance company.

Do I need a passport or visa?
For all international travel, a valid passport is required. A passport card is not accepted for international flights. Travelers are responsible for ensuring their passport remains valid for at least six months beyond the end of their trip. If a traveler is unable to participate due to an expired or invalid passport, Amor & Away Travel Co.’s refund and cancellation policies will apply in full.

Visas may be required for certain destinations. Your tour guide will inform you if a visa is necessary. All travelers are responsible for completing and submitting their own visa documentation.

Travelers should refer to https://travel.state.gov/content/travel.html for travel requirements.

Travelers must have proper travel documents: For international travel, excluding cruises that begin at and return to the same U.S. port, U.S. citizens must have a valid passport. For cruises that begin at and return to the same U.S. port, U.S. citizens must have a valid passport or original certified birth certificate with raised seal and photo I.D.

Non-U.S. citizens and resident aliens should contact their respective embassies and U.S. Immigration for applicable regulations.

Air Travel, Connections, and Delays

Amor & Away Travel Co. is not affiliated with any airline. Each airline maintains its own policies and requirements and it is the responsibility of the traveler to understand these policies and requirements.

Travelers should plan to arrive at the airport 2–3 hours before departure. Checked baggage must be submitted at least 1 hour prior to the flight.

If a traveler misses their flight due to late arrival, Amor & Away Travel Co. is not responsible. Any refund requests must be handled directly between the traveler, their travel insurance provider, and the airline.

Air travelers are responsible for allowing enough time to deplane, collect luggage, and meet the group at the designated meeting point, which will be provided before departure.

For vacation packages that do not include airfare, travelers must provide us with their flight details.

Vaccinations

Certain destinations may require certain vaccinations. Once your travel location is confirmed, search online for “what vaccinations are required for travel to [your destination]” to review the recommended immunizations and work with your physician to ensure compliance.

Room Sharing

If you are sharing a room, both travelers must submit their deposits on the same day to secure the reservation. If one traveler cancels for any reason, the remaining traveler’s reservation will automatically convert to single occupancy, and the trip cost will increase accordingly.
